Tavis Manufacturing works in combination with Microsoft Project to provide finite capacity scheduling capabilities. From within the Microsoft Project environment, project tasks can be automatically created based on the current set of work orders in Tavis Manufacturing. The completion state of the project tasks are updated with any actual hours that have been charged from the labour tracking module.

Using MS Project, the tasks can be leveled to account for available resources. The assigned resources can be adjusted when necessary and task start times can be changed manually. Once a satisfactory schedule has been defined the start and end dates of all work orders and tasks are brought back into Tavis Manufacturing. Any number of schedules can be created to explore what-if scenarios.
